Judah JohnsonBe Where I Be
Flameshovel Records [2006]

You would think that any recent band from Detroit would be pounding out the garage rock but Judah Johnson are at the other end of the spectrum producing crafty harmonizing indie space rock. Be Where I Be is the second full-length offering from Judah Johnson and it is a perfect sum of all its parts. It contains everything you want from a good shoegaze/indie album - drum machines, keyboard samples, ambient noise, and fuzzed out guitar interlaced with all-encompassing melodies. This collection of tracks is well thought out and pleasant to the ear. Daniel Johnson’s effortless vocals cohesively pull each track together and create an ideal lazy day rock record. Judah Johnson will not disappoint any fan that is into the shoegaze or indie genre. Be Where I Be is a quality effort and if you get a chance don’t miss your chance check it out.
